Isolated Networks is a network security company built around a novel approach to protecting organizations from cyber threats. This project focused on redesigning and developing a website that clearly communicates the company’s revolutionary technology, highlights what makes it unique, and explains its value to both technical and non-technical audiences.
I was tasked with defining a clear information architecture that could explain a complex, technical product to multiple audiences while maintaining credibility within the cybersecurity space. In parallel, I needed to evolve the company’s existing visual style into a more consistent, scalable system that could support the website and future growth.
I worked closely with the Isolated Networks team to define the site’s structure and determine what different audiences — including investors, prospective customers, and general site visitors — would want to understand first. From there, I helped shape the information architecture to guide users through the product story in a clear, logical progression.
As someone not deeply embedded in the cybersecurity industry, I intentionally advocated for language that the average user could understand, while still aligning with industry norms and best practices. This perspective helped surface areas where messaging could be simplified or clarified without losing technical accuracy. In parallel, I collaborated with the team to refine and standardize their existing visual style, creating a cohesive design system that felt polished and consistent across the site.
The redesigned website clearly communicates Isolated Networks’ value proposition, making a complex and innovative technology more approachable and understandable. A refined structure, clearer messaging, and consistent visual language work together to present the company as credible, forward-thinking, and accessible to a broad audience. The final result is a site that supports growth by effectively explaining what the technology is, why it matters, and who it’s for.
